| Over the next few weeks we will document the transformation of this '67 Mustang Fastback into the modified barn burner you see above. We'll start with the disassembly, take you through the body work, paint and reassembly, showing the problems encountered and how they were solved. We'll also show you the goodies installed to make this vintage car handle and drive like the late model Mustangs. This is the car displayed at the top of our home page and is the subject of a feature article in the November 2001 issue of Mustang Monthly. | ||||||||||||||
| The Owner | ||||||||||||||
| The story of this restoration will be told by the owner, Mike Nunn. After the restoration, Mike became a part owner in Metro Muscle Cars and his car will be used in the future for testing new products being offered. | ||||||||||||||
| Why a Modified 67? | ||||||||||||||
| I wanted to create a car with the visual cues and vintage appearance of what was available in 67 through 69, but was going to add the mechanical, performance and handling technologies available during the restoration period. I wanted something with the 67 Shelby look that I wouldn't be afraid to drive on weekends....either on the road or on the track. Something that incorporated the more modern handling and performance equipment in the 95 I was driving. | ||||||||||||||
