About this Series - This is page 3 of the series.
Since a good portion of the restoration was already started on the main chassis of the car I decided to start with the drivetrain and suspension. First I prepared the motor, tranny and rear for their installation. Not all parts came with the original purchase of the car so I had to find a few of them. It does have the following correct boss specific parts: Correct complete 70 boss 302 motor with the exception of the balancer, which is a fluid filled unit. Rug AW close ratio 4 speed transmission with correct bellhousing, shifter and t-handle. DOZF-Z 780 holley carburetor and spacer, nodular case with correct gears, 31 spline axles, carter x fuel pump, rev limiter, and flywheel. 
The Drivetrain and Suspension-

Rear end housing being stripped and painted
Rear 31 spline axles being prepped for installation into the housing

Nodular case was cleaned painted and had new 3:50 ford gears and new traction-loc assembly installed
Motor is in and installation of the remaining components begins.

The first stage was to get the car on it’s feet(wheels) and running so it can be moved around the shop area. Now on to the body panel fitting and prepping for paint.
